Third loss at home and again it is due to a sloppy performance. Away from home we are giving spirited performances but at home we simply cannot remain focused for the whole 90 minutes. After the start we had it looked like we would cruise on to a win but again we lost the desire when it mattered. That second half was just a f****** pathetic display of football by us. How can one give away a two goal cushion and that too against the Spuds at home? It was very painful, more painful than the West Brom and Newcastle games combined. Read the rest of this entry »
The win last night at the lane was scintillating. The complete dominance of Arsenal in the first 45 minutes was just awesome to watch. The score line though didn’t reflect the match proceedings due to a few decisions that were not given in our favour. Still the amount of ball possession we had, it was just that Tottenham were not even playing, they were totally outclassed. Carling Cup or not that was one sweet performance by our team and all credit to them and also to Arsene Wenger for putting up a strong team than we have seen in recent years in the cup ties.
Tottenham: 1 (Keane)
Arsenal: 4 (Lansbury, Nasri (2) and Arshavin)
That was just brilliant by Arsenal if not perfect.
Taking control of the match from start, Arsenal never looked back once. Lansbury opened the scoring for Arsenal, with a sliding tap in, after a move involving Rosicky and Wilshere. Arsenal dominated the possession and in the first half Tottenham were nowhere to be seen. They had few shots but they were too wide and didn’t trouble Arsenal much.
