The good news has come that Fabregas has a little chance to feature in the match on Sunday, as Wenger told the club’s official website after the win against Partizan Belgrade. He has started to run and his progress will be analyzed before the green light is given for his selection.
If Fabregas is 100 percent fit only then he should be included, otherwise he will aggravate the problem more, as happened last season, and he will be sidelined for a greater period.
Still his inclusion will be a big boost.
This is what Wenger told the club’s official website:
“Cesc has started to run so we have to monitor his progress in the week and there is a little hope there he will be available [for Sunday].”
The bad news is that we will be without Vermaelen for the Chelsea clash.
This comes as a big blow because we all thought that he would be fit to play. I am a bit intrigued about the extent of the injury and that the full details of the injury of Vermaelen have not been told. First it was said that he would be out for only one game and he would be returning for the Braga clash. Then it was said that he will feature in the Sunderland clash, then the West Brom clash and then it was said he will be ready for the Chelsea clash and now he will not feature. There is something fishy over here because he was supposed to miss one match and he has gone onto miss 6 and the 7th is close behind. Still, best wishes for his quick recovery.
Fingers crossed, let’s see what news the next few days bring with itself.
